COST: $38 full size ($17 for half-size at Sephora)
THE SKINNY: I might of had a misconception about what Smashbox's Photo Finish Color Correcting Foundation Primer in green (adjusting) was supposed to do. I expected an almost concealer-like coverage and bought the green tint to account for my skin's sometimes over-rosiness.
What I got was a foundation primer. It glided on thin and smooth and did not appear to conceal anything. I was, to say the least, disappointed.
But then I applied my regular powder foundation, which I typically wear without a primer, and did notice some results. It stuck a little better, so I suppose that is where the redness coverage comes in.
Overall though, I can't see why I really need to make this part of my routine. I am going to keep trying and if I change my mind, I promise to report back. But for now, save your $38 for a product you will really get some use out of.
KEEP OR TOSS: I am going to use what I have, but don't plan to buy a replacement when it is all gone. (If I ever use it all.)
CHECK IT OUT: Smashbox has a full line of tinted primers -- from flesh tones to purple (balancing), blue (hydrating) and green (adjusting) and has a points program if you buy from the site. I found a half size at Sephora and it will likely last a while.
