Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer

RATING (out of 5 stars): 3 stars

COST: $42

THE SKINNY: It looked like a liquid foundation. It had the color and texture of a liquid foundation. But it glided on smooth like a silky moisturizer.

Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer is a little bit of the best of everything. It has a subtle tint that will even out small imperfections in skin tone but is super-light and wearable. (This is the perfect product if your "naked" face -- yes we all hide from time to time -- is just not something you are ready to share around your man.)

The tiny sample arrived in the most elaborate packaging I have ever seen for something smaller than my thumb. It also came with a code for free two-day shipping from Nars if I placed an order direct.

The SPF 30 formula comes in nine shades to match most skin tones but I am not thrilled with the color names. My skin color, light, is called "Alaska." As if I did not know how pale I am already?!?

This is also a product for people without super dry skin. It is very light. I still had a couple flaky spots (winter dryness blows) after using the moisturizer.

KEEP OR TOSS: Keep. I am loving this stuff. I wish the sample were larger because I can't decide if I am vain enough for the full size at $42.

CHECK IT OUT: Order direct from Nars,or look for it at a cosmetics counter. Be aware the product has just been released and availability may be limited. You can "borrow" my two-day shipping code, PRTM2012 for as long as it works.
