Juice Beauty Blemish Clearing Serum

RATING (out of 5 stars): 1 star

COST: $29

THE SKINNY: How could you not be lured by this brand and this product, which promises an organic (meaning fruit acid and aloe), quick-acting way to fight occasional breakouts in adults.

I was so eager to try it, although not for a pimple to appear on my face. But when one did, I squeezed out a little of the gel and applied it. This serum looks organic -- it's kind of brownish and gooey. It smells organic too.

The next morning, I glanced in the mirror. To my disappointment, the pimple looked worse.

But you know how the healing process is. Sometimes thing look a little worse when they're starting to get better. So I applied the serum again in the morning and again at night.

The next morning, the pimple had multiplied.

I stopped using the serum, and the next morning, most of the baby pimples were gone and the original pimple looked much better.

Maybe it was coincidence -- not the serum that was the problem but something else with my skin.

Does it really matter? No. I won't try this product again.

KEEP OR TOSS: Toss. I'm not taking any chances

CHECK IT OUT: Maybe Juice Beauty's other products are better. Read more about the blemish serum at the company website.

  1. I was using another brand (which I don't want to name because I don't want to bash them) to treat my blemishes for a while and their products really started to dry out my skin because of all the chemicals they were using. I decided to switch to Juice Beauty's Organics To Clear Skin products because I didn't want to continue putting the chemicals in my body and my face has never looked better! At first my skin was purging because it was getting rid of all the toxins that I had been putting on my skin but then it calmed down and cleared up my skin!

Thanks for the great feedback! I hope others are finding the same thing you did. I love to hear when the long-term benefits really are worth making a product switch!!! (I am also totally stoked that you found something less-chemically that works!!!)
