Spray Iron Guard onto your locks and then use your flat iron.
I like the Chi spray because it's a lightweight spray without scent, it works and I can't feel it in my hair after the flat iron steams the wetness away. And my hair actually feels healthy afterward.
Chi says its spray is formulated to work with Chi flat irons, but I'm not sure my hair knows the difference. I've also used this product in combination with other styling products -- mousse, volumizer and the like -- and never had and issues.
KEEP OR TOSS: Keep. Long-term exposure to heat is bad for fine hair, right?
