Marc Jacobs Daisy

RATING (out of 5 stars): 3.5 stars

COST: $20 for a rollerball or $62 for 1.7 ounces

THE SKINNY: Marc Jacobs makes quirky cool clothes. It's only fitting that he make a quirky cool fragrance, too.

Daisy is just that fragrance. Oddly, I never liked it much when I tested it at Sephora. But a sample came in the mail the other day, so I gave it another try. This fragrance is really about what happens an hour after you put it on.

The daisy is my favorite flower, but I never much cared for the scent. It's a little too, well, plant-y for me. Marc Jacob's daisy has more of a violet scent than a true daisy. But, in the store at least, it too smelled a little too plant-y and a little too vintage for my liking.

But I discovered I love this scent about an hour after it absorbs into my skin. Those abrasive notes soften to a mellow, feminine note that I really enjoy. And it's such a subtle scent.

KEEP OR TOSS: Keep.

CHECK IT OUT: This scent is also available in a full line of body products, including butter and lotion. Discover them at Marc Jacob's site.
